Founded by Veronica I. Gonzalez, MPH, RDN, LD, we opened its virtual doors in the Fall of 2021. Nurturing Nutrition & Wellness, LLC, provides unique, personalized dietary services to The Rio Grande Valley residents and The Virtual Space.

You will not find Nurturing Nutrition and Wellness, a scale, or a desk separating you from Veronica, our dietitian. Our education room is full of color, books, weight-inclusive seating, and space to wheel in and out! It is our belief here at Nurturing Nutrition and Wellness, LLC, that all should feel welcome. We are a Health at Every Size (HAES) facility and allies.
To help people overcome their health goals on a nutrition level, the person receiving care must feel safe. I hope our office and staff help you feel that way!

Veronica, the business owner, was born and raised in McAllen, TX. In 2013, she left her hometown and started studying at UT Austin. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Certification in Elements of Computing in Computer Science. After that, she joined a combined program at UT Health Science Center SPH in Houston, Texas. There, she completed her Master's in Public Health (Health Promotion & Health Education) and gained enough experience to sit for the Registered Dietitian Examination. In 2019, she successfully presented her thesis, graduated, passed the exam, and added "MPH, RDN, LD" to the end of her name.
Veronica has since returned to her hometown, The Valley, and has been practicing nutrition, specializing in endocrinology. She has also become Border Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM). Once she established her LLC, she discovered that the most fulfilling aspect of her profession is interacting with and supporting everyone she encounters. Her proficiency in treating eating disorders/disordered eating allows her to assist both young people and adults as they work towards their recovery. Besides her work, Veronica enjoys listening to podcasts, reading, and playing with her dog, Leo Barkley Gonzalez. :)
